I’m not sure if I would have given him any cash. It depends on how late for work I was at the time. A good follow up experiment might have been to see if they got different results at a different day ant time, say 7PM on a Saturday when people are not focused on going to work, but on more leisurely activities.
I have paid street musicians in the past, but it definitely depends on how unique, good not annoying they are. The guys that just suck, I don’t usually give any cash.

I'd never seen a street musician until just a couple months ago. It's kind of a new phenomena for me, coming from Maine....it was hard to find street musicians when there aren't any sidewalks or subways!
